William E. Kromm

William E. KrommWilliam E. Kromm, 84, formerly of 348 E. 10th Street, and a resident of Grancare since December of 2005, died there on Monday, May 1, 2006. He was born February 2, 1922, in Lamartine, the son of Jacob and Catherine Krinkel Kromm. On August 6, 1983, he married Lorraine Farvour Luttenberger at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2006. Mr. Kromm was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was formerly employed by Mercury Marine for 40 years, retiring in 1987. Bill was a veteran of WW II serving with K Company, 301st Infantry in Europe from 1942 to 1945. Surviving are two daughters, Susan (Bob) Oakley Providence, RI, and Nancy Bodoh of New York, NY, three step-sons, Mark (Gail) Luttenberger and Glenn Luttenberger, both of Fond du Lac, and Scott (Demetra) Luttenberger of North Fond du Lac, a step-daughter, Debra (DuWayne) Sampson of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is further survived by three brothers, George Kromm of Kenosha, Herman (Lois) Kromm of Hartford, and Clarence Kromm of Fond du Lac. His parents, wife, two sisters, Pauline Rich and Amelia Wiegert, a brother, Fred Kromm, and an infant brother, John, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. William E. Kromm will be on Thursday, May 4, 2006, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm on Thursday at the church. The Rev. Stuart Zak will officiate. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
