William J. "Bill" Steffen

William J. “Bill” Steffen, 82, of Fond du Lac, died at home, Sunday, May 14, 2023. He was born on September 12, 1940, to William and Loretta (Wirtz) Steffen. On April 2, 1959, he married Bonya J. “Bonnie” Stevens in Menominee, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on February 7, 2011.

Bill was very involved with Walleyes for Tomorrow and Winnebagoland Conservation Alliance. He worked for Alliant Energy.

Survivors include his three sons, Stephen, Scott, and Rick, all of Fond du Lac; granddaughter, Cheyenne Steffen, of Fond du Lac; one great-granddaughter; three brothers and a sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Friday, May 19, 2023, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM with cremation to follow. Inurnment in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery, will take place the following week.
