Wilmer H. Krebsbach

November 4, 1922 — August 22, 2017

Wilmer H. Krebsbach, age 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 22, 2017 at Hospice Home of Hope where he was a resident the past eleven weeks. He was born November 4, 1922, the second oldest son of William and Martha (Buechel) Krebsbach. He married Aurelia Dickrell on June 10, 1946 in St. Anna.



They recently celebrated their 71st Wedding Anniversary with immediate family by his side at Hospice Home of Hope.



Wilmer was a WWII Veteran serving three and a half years with the 75th Infantry Division. After the war he was employed at Mercury Marine for thirty years.



He enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening and playing Sheepshead. However his greatest enjoyment was polka music and dancing. He was a member of Sacred Heart Family Church in Fond du Lac.



Survivors include his five children: Lyle (Penny) Krebsbach, James (Peggy) Krebsbach, Wayne (Jane) Krebsbach, Cheryl (Mike) Krueger and Sharon (Jim) Lundwall. Ten grandchildren: John (Angela) Krebsbach, Kerry (Mark) Kattelman, Jennifer (Jonathan) Leisses, Scott (Heather) Krebsbach, Pam (Ryan) Shukoski, Jason (Heide) Skarda, DeAnna (Todd) Koplien, Brian (Amy) Krueger, Melissa (special friend Willie) Lundwall, Heather (Michael) Richardson. Seven great-grandchildren: Preston Krebsbach, Skyler Shukoski, Isaac Krebsbach, Addison (Rottier) Skarda, Ava Skarda, Twins Sylas and Hadley Richardson, and the upcoming blessing of three additional grandchildren: Baby Shukoski due in November and Baby Koplien Twins due in December. Wilmer is survived by one brother and sister-in-law: Elroy (Rosie) Krebsbach and one sister Rosanne Roehrig. In-laws: Nicholas (Mary) Dickrell, Roman (Rosella) Dickrell, Cletus Dickrell, Donald (Ginny) Dickrell, Sister Imelda Ann Dickrell, Theresa (Glenroy) Greuel, Marlene Dickrell, and many nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents William and Martha (Buechel) Krebsbach and mother and father-in-law Norma and Nicholas Dickrell. Brothers and sister in laws: Erwin (Ermina) Krebsbach, Cyril (Dottie) Krebsbach, Sister and brother in laws: Rita (Gary) Endries, Lloyd Roehrig. In-laws: Clement Dickrell (infant), Clarence (Luella) Dickrell, Leo Dickrell, Rose Dickrell, Martha (Edward) Kasprzak, MaryAnn Mytko, Elvira (Laverne) Minor, Cyrina (Hank) Turek, Ermina (Roland) Mekka, Imelda (AI) Faust.



Visitation will take place on Monday August 28, 2017 from 9:30-11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church-Holy Family, 200 S. Peters Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.



The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Donald Van Beek and Dr. David Maruska for their care and guidance along with the entire staff at Hospice Home of Hope.



In lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established at Holy Family Catholic Community with intentions for Sacred Heart Church.
