Ashley E. Reitz

Ashley Elizabeth Reitz, age 35, of Fond du Lac passed away on June 16, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 27, 1987 to Dennis and Kathy (Nelson) Reitz. Ashley attended Fond du Lac High School and graduated in 2005.

Ashley ran her own painting business called Premier Painting. She had great attention for detail and color. Ashley was very artistic and made many thoughtful homemade gifts for friends and family. Music was an important part of her life and she enjoyed going to concerts and music festivals (especially bluegrass). Ashley was a creative cook and enjoyed making original recipes. She loved to cook for her mom and often shared recipes with family and friends.

Ashley had a quick wit and kept everyone laughing with her sarcasm and dry humor. You never doubted what she was thinking. She will always be remembered for her spunk, her big smile and her big heart.

Ashley is survived by her loving parents, Dennis and Kathy Reitz; her beloved brother, Christopher (Sarah Brown) Reitz. She is also survived by aunts and uncles, Maureen (Leath) Sheppard, Vicki (Tom Penfield) Nelson, Sue (Bob) Galle, Ronnie Reitz, Gail (Leo) Anthony, and Roxana (Doug Fields) Reitz; cousins, Mark (Lisa) Sheppard, Teri Rockweit, Jodi (Chris) Martin, Jeremy (Andrea Chatfield) Rockweit, Angie (Jeff) Miller, Marisa (Curt Howe) Abrahamson, Jake Damm, Tom (Maria) Sheppard, Rob McDermott, Tim (Lisa) Reitz, Jason (Sarah) Anthony, and Asa Fields. She is also survived by great uncle, Jimmy (Becky) Nelson; great aunt, Bea Galle and many second cousins and numerous friends.

Ashley was preceded in death by grandparents, Maury and Betty Nelson and Ruben and Alice Reitz; uncle, Jerry Reitz; aunts, Gloria Jean Reitz and Susannah Reitz; and cousin, Chase Galle. She was also preceded in death by her loving pet, Kaia of twelve years.

A special thank you to her aunts Maureen, Vicki, and Susie for their continued support during her illness. We would like to thank SSM Hospice for their wonderful care the last few weeks.

The visitation will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
