Bernice C. Evenson

Bernice C. Evenson, 95, of Fond du Lac, died on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born July 9th, 1929, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Benedict) Fox; she was one of 14 children. On September 1,1967, she married Donald R. Evenson and he preceded her in death on February 25,1991. Bernice worked at Infant Socks until they closed, and was hired at Best Rollr for 13 years before retiring in 1992. In between jobs, she helped her family and worked at Fox’s Tavern with her brothers. Later in life, she volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital for 22 years on the Rehab and Transitional Care Units. Bernice enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by one son, Donald (Marcia) Evenson; her grandchildren, Timothy (Heather Wright) Evenson, Lisa (Robert, “BJ”) Rollin; and her two great-granddaughters, Jane and Emma Rollin; one sister, Mary Wagner; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, William (Helen) Fox, Frances (Paul) Gremminger, Lawrence (Catherine) Fox, Sylvester (Ellen) Fox, Gilbert (Rosanne) Fox, Benedict (Ernestine) Fox, Genevieve (Frank) Junaitis, Viola (Lester) Bohlman, John (Laura) Fox, Jerome (Dorothy) Fox, Virginia (Warren) Hess, Elmer (Ruth) Fox; and brother-in-law, David Wagner.

The visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM on Friday, May 30, 2025, with a Mass to follow at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church-Holy Family, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park, N6250 County Road K, Fond du Lac, WI, 54937.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sacred Heart Church-Holy Family or Hospice Home of Hope, 400 County Road K, Fond du Lac, WI, 54937, in Bernice’s name.
