Bruce J. Winland

Bruce J. Winland, 71, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, March 19, 2021 at his residence. He was born on May 14, 1949, in Vermillion County, IL, the son of Russell and Barbara (Millikin) Winland. After graduating high school, Bruce served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was instrumental in founding the Vietnam Veterans of Fond du Lac, Chapter 58. He was a member of the Eagles Club, American Legion, and the Elks. Bruce was a member of Local 781 Painters Unions. For many years, Bruce was a Real Estate agent. He loved to talk politics, gardening, and helping his fellow Vietnam Veterans getting their benefits.



He is survived by three children, Shannon (Gary Wood) Djerf, Chris (Sara) PrusWinland, and Sara (fiancée, Jon Ellingson) Winland; seven grandchildren, Trent, Patricia, Sadie, Isis, Anthony, Gavril, and Odin; a great-grandson, Rivers; and special friend, Debra Lutton. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Scott, Todd, and Mark Winland.
