Carol J. Cope

Carol J. Cope, 89, of Milwaukee, died on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Lakeshore Manor in Oshkosh. She was born on September 30, 1936, in Milwaukee, the daughter of George and Rose (Kuchenbecker) Jones. On May 31, 1957, she married Kenneth L. Cope in Milwaukee.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Mauntler; four grandchildren, Timothy (Nina) Hays, Sam (Allison) Hays, Ben (Jennifer) Hess, and Becky Nienwenhuis; four step grandchildren; Kelly, Sarah, Neil, and Joseph; three great grandchildren, Aurora, Theo, and Harrison; son-in-law, William Hays; and many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rose; husband, Kenneth; two daughters, Julaine Hays and Elizabeth Hess; two sisters, Violet (Lester) Sell and Grace (John) Hannon; and a son-in-law, Keith Mauntler.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvay Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Cremation has taken place.
