Caroline G. Stephany

Caroline Gertrude Stephany, 93, of Fond du Lac and formerly of St. Cloud, died Friday, August 20, 2021 at Adelaide Place. She was born May 28, 1928 to Anton and Gertrude (Koch) Krug. She married George J. Stephany on July 2, 1949 at St. Michael’s Church in Dotyville. Caroline worked at Infant Socks full time and Sargento Cheese Factory and St. Lawrence Seminary part time while being a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching the Milwaukee Brewers. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading, which she missed later in life when she couldn’t see well enough to do them. She loved family gatherings with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be missed and loved by her family.



She is survived by her children, Diane (Mark) Brasser, Mary Stephany, Dan Stephany, and Tom (Lori) Stephany; grandchildren, Jeremy (Shannon) Wisse, Adam (Becky) Brasser, and Cory (special friend, Jessica) Brasser; great grandchildren, Nevada Wisse, Keynen Wisse, Taylor Brasser, and Landon Brasser; one brother, Gerald Krug. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; her first child; her first great grandson, Sebastian; brother, Eugene (Evelyn) Krug; sisters, Irene (Edward) Grudzinski and Marion (Rubert) Gotz; in laws, Alois and Eleanor Stephany; sisters-in-law, Emily Krug, Angeline Korb, and Lorraine (Ambrose) Casper.



Private family services will be held. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be held in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.



The family would like to extend a special thank you to staff at Adelaide Place for the care and compassion given to Caroline.
