Christine Catherine Hammer

When Christine Catherine Hammer, age 46, of Fond du Lac, arrived in heaven Wednesday, January 25, 2023, she was greeted by her grandparents, (Robert and Hazel Blanck) and they said to her, “Welcome Fancy Face” and “Hello Sweetie”. She was born on April 29, 1976, in Green Bay, the daughter of Francis and Cheryl (Blanck) Hammer. Christine graduated from Goodrich High School in 1995. She worked at Brooke Industries since graduating high school and volunteered at the Fond du Lac St. Vincent de Paul Society Thrift store. Christine loved doing activities with the Champions of Fond du Lac such as “Birthday Bingo”, “Girl’s Night Out”, bowling and bocce ball. She was a member of the United Singers of Fond du Lac and enjoyed her weekends with “Fishing Has No Boundaries”.

Survivors include her father, Francis Hammer; her brother, Alvin Hammer; her aunts and uncles, Bob Jr. (Barb) Blanck, Chuck Blanck, Kevin (Kay) Blanck, Irene (Hammer) Mayer, Mary (Hammer) Stokes, John Hammer; great-uncle, Lawrence Merten; many cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cheryl (Blanck) Hammer; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Bernetta (Loehr) Hammer; maternal grandparents, Robert and Hazel (Merten) Blanck; aunt and uncles, Nancy (Engel) Blanck, Dale Blanck and Paul Mayer.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 3-7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 9:00 am until the time of service at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the church. Entombment will follow the service at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum - Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Champions of Fond du Lac or United Singers of Fond du Lac.
