Dale Allen Dalka Sr. "Elvis"

June 15, 1951 — August 6, 2025

Dale Allen Dalka Sr. “Elvis”, age 74, passed away peacefully on August 6th, 2025. A man of quiet strength, deep pride and unwavering devotion, leaves behind a legacy built on family, service and craftsmanship.

Born with a heart full of rhythm in North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Erwin and Shirley Dalka on June 15, 1951, as their second child. Dale Sr. had five siblings: four brothers and one sister. Dale Sr. was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley.

Not only did Dale just admire the King of Rock ‘N’ Roll, but he also embodied his spirit. Dale Sr. was known to stroll through the town in his beloved Elvis costume and hand-crafted blue suede shoes. He brought smiles to everyone he passed. Whether he was striking up a conversation or sharing a laugh, he proudly carried the King’s spirit in his heart. But of all the things he loved, nothing meant more to him than being a father to his only wonderful son.

Dale Sr. proudly served in the United States Navy. He was filled with pride when he would tell stories of his work with the Navy’s C-130 aircraft. While serving Active Duty, Dale Sr. was stationed at NAS Patuxent River, where he met Delores Ferguson. The two were married in August 1972 and went on to have their beloved son, Dale Jr. Though the marriage ended, Dale Sr. remained a devoted father through every season of his life.

Though he lived states away, Dale Sr. was deeply devoted to his only son, Dale Jr. He cherished every moment of fatherhood- never letting distance define his role as a dad. He had love that spanned every mile between them. His pride in his son never wavered.

The core values he learned in the military followed him through many dedicated years with Mercury Marine.

In retirement, Dale Sr. found peace and purpose in woodworking. He had a natural talent for building with his hands – creating pieces that were functional, full of character and care. His craftsmanship, like his presence, left a lasting mark.

He will be remembered for his generous heart, steady spirit, sharp wit, and the unconditional love that he gave to those closest to him. He is survived by his beloved son, Dale Dalka Jr. (Shannon) of Mechanicsville, MD, grandchildren: Kayla Grimes (Casey), Dylan Dalka (Laci), Kierstin Dalka, Kyndal Dalka; great-grandchildren: Remi and Griffin; siblings Wesley Dalka (Lori), Kevin Dalka, Carla Schneider (Paul), Bruce Dalka; niece: Kathy Roehrig (Brad); and nephews: Christopher Schneider and Cody Dalka. Dale Sr. has been welcomed with loving arms in Heaven by his parents, Erwin and Shirley Dalka, and his brother Wayne Dalka.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, where friends and family will gather to honor a remarkable man who lived with heart, humility and a whole lot of soul.
