Daniel H. “Dan” Doerr, age 79, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac after a long battle with Parkinson’s. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 17, 1941, to the late Harold and Ruth (McDonald) Doerr. Dan graduated from The University of Cincinnati in 1967.
Dan is survived by his three children; Kevin (Christie) Doerr of McDonough, Georgia, Rob (Paige) Doerr of Roswell, Georgia, and Allison (Eric) Kurtev of Fond du Lac; four step-children, Melissa (Bob) Bean of Pickens, South Carolina, Meredith (Tim) Greene of Atlanta, Georgia, Marcie (Shane) Benner of Greenville, South Carolina, and Meghan Fincher of Acworth, Georgia; twelve grand-children; and sister, Sharon (Dan) Marsh of Mt Pleasant, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-five years, Kathleen Mary Doerr.
Dan had a contagious smile and positive outlook that will be remembered and missed dearly.
At Dan’s request there will not be a visitation or memorial service. Cremation has taken place.
