Dave Alan Daane

Dave Daane, 67, of Fond du Lac, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 24, 2022, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah. He was born in Waupun on December 2, 1954, to Donald and Doris (Van Buren) Daane. Dave grew up in rural Alto with one sister and five brothers.

Dave was a graduate of Waupun High School. He worked as a machine operator for Basic American Medical Products in Fond du Lac for over 30 years, retiring as a supervisor on April 30th of this year.

Survivors include his sister, Donna Klosterman; two brothers, Loren (Jody) Daane and Darwin Daane; two step daughters, Nikki Lineberger, and Lana Garrett, their husbands and three grandsons. In addition he is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, his former wife, Christine Daane; and special friend, Sharon. He was preceded in death by his parents; his life partner of close to thirty years, Lana Rosenthal; two brothers, Dennis and Brian Daane; a sister-in-law, Karen Daane; and a brother-in-law, Larry Klosterman.

Dave had a passion for nature, including going to the cabin, fishing, hunting and camping. He loved being outdoors and learning new things.

He was a kind and loving person and will be sorely missed by his family, friends and colleagues.

A Celebration of Dave’s life will take place in the spring of 2023. Cremation has taken place.
