David A. Mehler

David A. Mehler, 78, of Malone, died Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth. He was born September 27, 1947 in Fond du Lac, the son of William and Clara (Adamski) Mehler. David graduated high school and from 1966 – 1969 he volunteered for service in the Army and spent one year in Vietnam as a sergeant with the 575th Engineering Batallion. His life was spared and he returned home to his favorite hobby of hunting and fishing.

On February 1, 1980 he married Marian A. Woelfel at St. Mary’s Church in Hilbert. He worked as a maintenance and set up technician at Tecumseh Engines for over 40 years and retired to spend time at his beloved cabin and on his favorite fishing spot on Lake Winnebago.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; step son, Jeff (Melissa) Flanders; grandchildren, Alex Flanders and Gabriella Flanders; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.

At David’s request private family services will be held.
