Deborah (Deb) K. Deere

November 23, 1961 — November 18, 2023

Fond du Lac

Deborah (Deb) K. Deere gained her angel wings on November 18, 2023. Deb was 61, 5 days shy of her 62nd birthday and passed away at Hospice Home of Hope with her loving husband Tom holding her hand.

Deb was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1961, to Robert & Jean (Pieper) Rieder in Chilton, WI. She attended Chilton schools, graduating in 1980, and went on to graduate from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau with a degree in Residential Design. Deb married Whitney Meddaugh and they had 4 children, twins Jarid & Seth, Brea, and Alex. In 1994, she married Tom Deere and gained 2 more children, Rob & Katie.

Deb started her working career at Kindt Lumber, most remembered as Wicks Lumber and concluded her 31 years there with  Pro Build as an Assistant Manager of the Truss Department. She completed her 10 year career at Excel Engineering where she was a Cad Technician.

The Green Bay Packers lost one of their greatest fans. As season ticket holders, Deb & Tom went to numerous games, even traveling to New Orleans to watch the Packers win Super Bowl XXXI. Deb's love of travel took them on many adventures over the years. Being a classmate of Mike Bailey, a member of Vic Ferrari, the couple went to many of their performances and traveled with the band to Ireland, Mexico and Alaska; also a yearly camping trip with the band and friends in Gresham, WI. Great memories include having season tickets for the Fireside Theatre, watching races live in Indianapolis and Elkhart Lake, softball, card club and one of her favorite things was going out for breakfast.

Those she leaves behind are her  husband Tom of almost 30 years; sons, Rob Deere, Seth (Tiare Bradley) Meddaugh, Alex (Lindsay) Meddaugh; and daughters, Katie (Ben) Kottke, and Brea Meddaugh; her mother, Jean Rieder; siblings, Scott (Phyllis) Rieder, Robert (Patti) Rieder, Todd Rieder, Lori (Roger) Jandrey and Jason (Susan) Rieder; her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Caleb & Emma Kottke, Addison Galle, Jacelynn & Keanu Meddaugh, Harper Janes, Finley & Logan Meddaugh.

Deb is also survived by her first husband, Whitney (Beckie Lobe) Meddaugh; sisters-in-law, Patti (Jim) Barnes & Judy (Tim) Simon; brother-in-law, Kent Deere; wonderful nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jarid Meddaugh; father, Robert Rieder; brother-in-law, Joe Deere; very special friend, Elaine (Shorty) Miller; and by her grandparents, Gilbert & Ludwina Rieder and Eldon & Althea Pieper; her aunt, Janet Rieder.

Deb had a strong faith and in lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church. A special thank you to Haley from the Cancer Center for her genuine love and care along with the rest of the team.
