Dolores E. Kind

Dolores Eleanor Kind, age 94, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, at her residence. Dolores was born on August 5, 1932, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Lemberger) Schettl. She spent much of her life in Fond du Lac, building a life centered around family, hard work, and the people she loved. She married her husband, Harold Kind, on June 16, 1951, at Sacred Heart Rectory in Oshkosh and together they shared 62 years of marriage and raised seven children.

Her years working at Wells Manufacturing were an important part of her life and reflected the same qualities she brought to everything she did: dedication, determination, and a sharp mind. Even in retirement, Dolores and Harold continued to enjoy being on the road together, delivering blueprints for Excel Engineering.

Dolores found joy in the simple things, especially time with her family and a good game of bingo. She was happiest surrounded by the people she loved, whether that be people stopping in unexpectedly or for annual cookouts.

Dolores is survived by her seven children, Rose Siedschlag, Harold C. Kind, Jr., Beatrice (Ambrose) Sabel, Randy (Roxanne) Kind, Paul (Linda) Kind, Mary (Randy) Snyder, Susan (friend, Doug) Kind, all of Fond du Lac; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold; her parents; 2 grandchildren; son-in-law, Ronald Siedschlag; 6 siblings; and 3 siblings-in-law.

Dolores leaves behind a family that she spent a lifetime helping to navigate. Through every turn, detour, and roadblock, she had a way of finding the way forward. Her family will miss her steady presence, her love, and the countless miles traveled together.

The visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM. Burial will occur in St. Charles Cemetery.
