Donald B. Funk, Jr.

Donald B. Funk, Jr., 73, of North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah. He was born in Fond du Lac, Sunday, June 17, 1945, a son of Donald and Marcella (Straub) Funk, Sr. Donald served in the Air Force (USAF) from 1966-1970. On June 14, 1975, he married Diane Maass in Van Dyne.



Donald was an avid Brewers & Packers fan. He loved to fish and enjoyed casino trips with Diane. Donald worked at International Paper as a Press Helper, retiring after 39 years.



Survivors include his wife, Diane; son, Mike Funk (fiancé, Kate Frank and her daughter, Maddy); daughter, Cindy Funk; brother, James (Linn) Funk; sister, Carol Bacon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Robert Bacon.



Donald loved spending time with Devlin, Novalee, Sahvanna and Lyla; they meant the world to him and he loved them deeply.



Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Entombment in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery will follow the service.
