Donald H. "Romy" Romalia

Donald H. “Romy” Romalia, 75, of Fond du Lac, died on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison. He was born on November 17, 1948, in Fond du Lac, the son of Patrick and Arlene (Gross) Romalia. Romy graduated from Goodrich High School in 1967. He was a member of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, North Fond du Lac. Romy worked for Mercury Marine for 40 plus years until his retirement. He was an avid Wisconsin sports’ fan which included the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. One of his favorite things to do was to attend the North Fond du Lac High School Orioles sporting events and never missed any of his granddaughter’s games. He also enjoyed playing softball in Fond du Lac. 

He is survived by two children, Ryan Romalia and Kristin (Chad Picker) Romalia; four grandchildren, Riley Romalia, and Meghan, Matthew, and Meredith Picker; nephew, David Lambert; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Arlene; and sister, Sharon Adrian. 

The visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service with entombment to occur at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
