Elizabeth J. "Betty" Olsen

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Olsen, age 92, formerly of North Fond du Lac, died Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Adelaide Place in Fond du Lac. She was born on October 6, 1932, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of John and Inez (Lemieux) Reinke. Betty married Cornelius Olsen and he preceded her in death. Betty worked at Vern’s in North Fond du Lac, the Fond du Lac Reporter, then as secretary at Friendship Learning Center until her retirement. Betty loved sewing, gardening, going out to lunch, and most of all loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Sandy Christie and David Olsen; two grandchildren, Andrew Christie and Aaron Christie; two great-grandchildren, Remy Christie and Elijah; sisters-in-law, Pat Reinke and Betty Reinke; close family friend, Scott Blunk; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her siblings, Jim (Beverly) Reinke, Leon Reinke, Ronnie “Butch” Reinke, Bill Reinke, and Bernice (Carl) Cleveland.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 3:00 PM. Cremation will follow the service and interment will take place at a later date at Rienzi Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Adelaide Place for everything they have done for Betty.
