Florence (Flo) Jordan

January 28, 1938 — July 14, 2025

Florence (Flo) Jordan was born on January 28,1938 to parents Ruth (Bird) McAuly and Byron McAuly. She was the third child of nine and was preceded in death by both parents; husband of 23 years, Billy Jordan; brothers, Byron and Robert McAuly; sisters, Carrie Greene and Ruth McGinnis; as well as many in-laws too numerous to mention. She is survived by her four daughters, Barbara (Keith Prochaska) Jordan, Judith (Tim) Malcore, Wilma Davis, and Billee (Scott) Kotten; grandchildren, Joshua (Jen) Malcore, Katelyn (Sam) Klug, Skyler (Kelsey Aschenbrenner), Ashly (Cameron) Hart; as well as great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Florence graduated from Fondy High School and went to work at the FBI in Washington DC in the criminal records department after graduation, until she married Billy Jordan and moved to Racine WI. She worked for Manpower, Twin Disc, and J. I. Case, where she retired after working for 30 years. She was an excellent key puncher and loved her job. She was very active and enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing, gardening, arts and crafts, and playing cards. She golfed all over the country, and in Racine at Washington Park, Johnson Park, and Ives Grove. She was an avid bowler and was on the Racine Women’s Bowling Association and helped out at many state tournaments. She was inducted into the Racine Women’s Bowling Hall of Fame and was very honored. She was very proud of the fact that Anna Mae Hutchinson (Hutch), a very famous former member of the Racine Belles baseball team, taught her how to golf. Florence and Billy were members of Evangelical United Methodist Church for many years and had all their daughters baptized there. They later joined Trinity Lutheran Church and Florence was a member there until she died. Florence and Billy bought a house, where all their children were raised and she lived there for 51 years. After selling her house, she moved into Fountain Hills, where she made even more friends! She loved everything Fountain Hills had to offer and loved living there. She loved the Lord and loved spreading God’s word to everyone and helping others out. She was a generous, loving, caring person and those privileged enough to have had a relationship with her will miss her deeply. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. We always said she never let any grass grow under her feet and that was true.
