Gail M. Montgomery

Gail M. Montgomery, 65, died Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Avina of Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac, March 11, 1960, to Jesse and Virginia (Diedrich) Montgomery. She was a graduate of Goodrich High School.

Gail was a light in every room and a free spirit in every sense of the word. She lived life boldly and on her own terms, reminding us all to find joy in the moment and love without hesitation. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit and the love she shared will live on forever in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known her. Gail loved gardening and baking with her grandchildren. She also cherished their outdoor adventures, especially their hikes together through Hobbs Woods.

Survivors include her two children, Jennifer Williams (Damian Haff) of North Fond du Lac, and Joshua Montgomery (Brianna Reilly) of Rosendale; five grandchildren, Cleopatra Williams, Zoey Williams, Phoenix Montgomery, Zante Williams, and Aurora Montgomery; a sister, Beth Bednarek of Hudson, WI, and brother, Jerry Montgomery of Ripon; two half-sisters, Kelley Roen and Sherry Rieben, half-brother, Robert Montgomery; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Janae and Jaxon Haff held a special place with Gail and affectionately called her grandma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Cindy Montgomery, William Montgomery, Roxie Montgomery, Mark Montgomery, and Mary Burnett; brother-in-law, Thomas “ Blackie” Bednarek; and nephew, Brian Burnett.

A celebration of Gail's life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
