Gary G. Nimmer, 77, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 07, 2023, at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by family. He was born October 5th, 1945, in Oshkosh WI. He is the son of Harvey and Gladys (Will) Nimmer.
He loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind and spirit. Meditation and prayer were his pain relievers. His desire was to help people in need showing them the love of Christ. He liked: traveling to other states & countries, exploring new places, riding four wheelers, hunting, fishing, woodworking & Metal Crafting. He would pour himself into whatever project he had in front of him. He could do just about anything! He loved laughter, shenanigans, making people feel welcomed, happy & loved. Life was never dull with him in it.
Survivors include, a daughter, Lori & her husband Dan Gilgenbach of Fond du Lac, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. Two grandsons, Andrew (Angel) Nimmer and Jesse Nimmer, of Fond du Lac. Two step grandchildren Cory & (Diana) Gilgenbach of Oshkosh, Tyler & (Christina) of Green Bay. He is further survived by 8 great-great-grandchildren, Xander, Pandora, Reiley, Axel, Sadie, Brantley, Lauren & Glen. He is also survived by; a close friend Carol & her family. Along with many dear friends who called him dad or grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie in 2008; his parents, his brother, Jeff Nimmer; mother-in-law and father-in-law; sister-in-law, Lois Immel; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Langkau, Richard Kunde.
