George R. "Geo" Stacey, Jr.

Geo took his last cast and hooked his eternal life, surrounded by his loving family. He passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2026, at age 65, after several years bravely battling Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary; daughters, Mindy Gau (Tony) and Ashley Freund (Nick); sisters, Linda Erke and Debbie Stacey; nephews, Larry Jr. and Jeff Jr.; niece, Stacey; special niece and nephew Kelly and Paul Schaefer; mother-in-law, Joan Seidl; brother-in-law, Mike (Pat) Seidl, sisters-in-law, Beth (Michael) Shaw, Pam (Keith) Opperman; nephews, Jacob (MaKayla) and Adam, and many other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr., and Ethel “Ozzie”; father-in-law, Ron; and brothers-in-law, Larry, Sr., and Jeff, Sr.

An avid outdoorsman, Geo loved fishing, hunting, Packers, spending time with family, friends, and enjoying a nice cold Miller. A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to SSM Hospice and to the many friends and relatives who helped ensure he lived the best life possible.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you spend a day fishing or enjoying a cold beverage by a bonfire in his memory.
