Gerald A. "Goose" Zahn

Gerald A. "Goose" Zahn, 63, of N7751 County Trunk C, Eldorado, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 21, 2004. He was born March 22, 1941, in Fond du Lac, the son of Otto and Florence "Tudy" Krug Zahn. Mr. Zahn was a graduate of Rosendale High School and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving from April 11, 1960 to April 10, 1964. He served aboard the USS MaunaKea and was later stationed at the Oakland Naval Base in its Psychiatric hospital. He was formerly employed by A.C. Nielsen for over 20 years. For the past 11 years, he was a bartender at Terry's Bar in Eldorado. He was a member of the Eldorado Wednesday Night Men's Bowling League, the Tuesday County Pool League. As an avid sports fan, he enjoyed golf, bowling, and pool.Surviving are a daughter, Angela Zahn, of Manhattan, NY, two sons, Jordan Zahn of Kentucky, and Spencer Zahn of Illinois, a brother, Jim (Jeanne) Zahn, of Rosendale, three sisters, Mary (Harry "Pete") Peters of Fond du Lac, Sandy (Dave "Herb") Brenner of Eldorado, and Janice Laning of Rosendale, and his mother, Florence "Tudy" Zahn, of Ripon. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. His father preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Gerald A. "Goose" Zahn will be on Sunday, April 25, 2004, from 1 to 5 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2004, at 5 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. Martin Koehler will officiate. Cremation has taken place.
