Gordon E. Murphy, age 71, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Hospice in Appleton surrounded by loving family and friends. He was born on November 26, 1946, in Fond du Lac, the son of Earl and Evelyn (Shaw) Murphy. Gordon worked as a hairdresser for many years at Cost Cutters and JC Penney’s. He also worked for numerous cleaning/janitorial services.
Gordon is survived by many special friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Estabrooks Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome at the graveside service.
