Gregory J. Rhoades

First off, this is an obituary that shouldn't be written this early in someone's life. There are no amount of words that can express Greg. He was a wonderful husband, partner in crime, and my soulmate. There will never be a better father, husband, friend, or confidant in this lifetime or the next. We will forever miss your sarcastic humor, obnoxious laugh, loud sneezes. But most of all I will miss my best friend and keeper of my heart. You will be truly missed, forever loved, but never forgotten. I love you with everything I have and everything I can give. I love you, forever and always your wife.

Gregory J. Rhoades, age 38, of Fond du lac, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on January 7, 1987, in Fond du Lac, the son of Richard and Theresa (O'Malley) Rhoades. Greg graduated with high honors and was Salutatorian from St. Lawrence Seminary in Mt. Calvary and went on to attend UW Fond du lac, later graduating from Marian University where he graduated magna cum laude. Greg worked 10+ years in Healthcare IT, with his most recent position of IT Manager for St. Charles out of Bend, OR. He was a lifer at Target, because his wife loved the discount, and let's be honest he loved Target. Greg enjoyed traveling, being with his friends, but loved experiencing life with his family most. Although his time was cut too short, he packed a lot into his short time on earth. Greg was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. We love you 3000.

Survivors include his wife, Jayna Rhoades; their two children, Emersyn and Lydia; his parents; Richard and Theresa (O'Malley) Rhoades; his siblings, Joseph Rhoades, Elizabeth (Travis) Stobb, Katherine (Zach) Schneider, Stephen Rhoades, and Bernadette (Sam) Buser; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Jan Chaney and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. He could meet anyone and instantly be their friend for life. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ryan Rhoades, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and Tony Stark (if you know, you know.)

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at Holy Family Church, 271 4th. Street Way, Fond du Lac, WI, 54937. A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at the church at 12 noon. Entombment will follow the service at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
