James D. Danhauer, 91, of Fond du Lac, died unexpectedly on May 25, 2026, at his residence. He was born on August 28, 1934, in Milwaukee, the son of David and Myrtle (Andersen) Danhauer. On October 14, 1994, he married Mary Binish Kremer at St. Mary’s Church, Marytown, WI. James was an executive at Clark Oil for 25 years until his retirement. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; eight children, David (Jackie) Danhauer, Gregory Danhauer, Jeffrey (Susan) Danhauer, Robert (Cheryl) Kremer, Eric (Angela) Kremer, Jim (Becky) Kremer, Andrea (David) Goehner, and Becky Kremer; 14 grandchildren, Michael, Meredith, Jamie (Mitchel), Cassidy, Nicholas (Stephanie), Michaela, Ben, River, Cody, Jacob, Alyssa, Logan, Austin, Aiden, and Ryann; two great grandchildren, Josephine and Madeline; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Myrtle; first wife, Barbara Ann; grandson, Nathan Robert; and sister, Joyce Walters.
At the family’s request, no services will be held. Burial to occur in Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in James’ name to the American Cancer Society.
