James Joseph Toth Jr died Friday, July 2, 2021, in Fond du Lac. James was born January 6, 1946, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the son of James Toth Sr. and Helen (Michalowske) Toth. He graduated from Goodrich High School in 1964 and joined the Navy where he served for four years during the Vietnam Conflict. After leaving the military Jim worked at Mercury Marine until his retirement in 2008.
On October 22, 1966, Jim married the former Linda Ciske in Fond du Lac at St Louis Church; she preceded him in death in 2014 after 49 years of marriage. He was a member of the VFW, the Lakeshore Bow Hunters Club, and other outdoor organizations. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Jim enjoyed morning coffee with friends, cooking, reading and all things outdoors; hunting, fishing and boating. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a good husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Survivors include, two sons, James (Kathy) Toth III of Aurora CO, and Scott (Tami) Toth of Green Lake, WI. Six granddaughters, Olivia, Addeline and Audrey of Aurora, CO. and McKenzie, Lexus and Cassandra of Green Lake, WI. One Sister, Susan (Arthur) Lewis of Marinette, WI. Brother-in law, Duane (Cheryl) Ciske of Rosendale; one sister-in-law, Chris (Clayton) Totz of Lamartine and many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda, and two children Sheryl and John.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Burial will follow the visitation in Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Agnes Hospital, Agnesian Hospice, Harbor Haven and Dr. Evans for the care they gave to Jim.
