Jane Elda Brink Heinz, age 73, of Oakfield, died Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay after battling numerous health issues. Jane was married to the love of her life Christian “Skip” William Heinz on April 20, 2018. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2021. Jane loved playing the piano and organ. She gave lessons and was a church organist and Junior and Senior Choir Director for many years. Jane enjoyed reading mysteries and at a young age she learned to crochet. She made many Afghans for gifts and scarves and headbands to keep warm in the winter.
Even though Jane had no children of her own, she felt several families filled that special place in her heart, Ashley and Jamie Heesen, Kelly and Shawn Dodd, and Marlene and Gary Adelmeyer. Jane is also survived by nieces, Rachel (Dave) Fleming, Molly Campbell; very special niece, Madison Campbell; godchild, Layla Coffman; lifetime friend, Kathleen (Jim) Flynn; step-daughters, Gena (Tim) Brown, Cindy (Mike) Wiere, Kris (Joel) Strahota; eight step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mabel (Schmidt) Brink; step-father, Donald Brink; her husband, Skip; her grandparents; aunts and uncles; longtime friends, Bobbi Riley and Deb Dodd.
Cremation has taken place and interment of Jane’s cremains will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 12 noon at Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield, WI. A Celebration of Jane’s life will follow the burial with details to follow at a later date.
