Jane A. (Lang) Lyness

Jane A. (Lang) Lyness was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on February 6, 1938, to Joseph and Clara (Polus) Lang. Jane graduated from North Fond du Lac High School in 1956. She married her high school sweetheart, Arthur Lyness, the love of her life on October 6, 1956, at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac-now part of Holy Family Catholic Community, where they were members. They were happily married for 63 years.

Arthur and Jane had two children, Cheryl (Gary) Drews and Ronald (Rosalind) Lyness and were blessed with 5 grandchildren, Derek (Ami) Drews, Angela (Tony) Salzman, Jason (Rae Marie) Drews, Ashley (Kevin) Lofy and Annette Lueck; and 11 great-grandchildren, Madisyn (fiancé Nate Hoffman) and Mason Owen, Carter and Callen Drews, Bryce, Sawyer, and Zayne Salzman, Lexie and Julie Drews, Ryder and Gage Lofy; Jane is further survived by many nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, and friends.

Jane worked at Prange Way for 27 years and Old Country Buffet for 16 years. She loved playing cards, snowmobiling, and going on trips with their friends. Jane and Arthur were members of the Blizzard Buzzards Snowmobile Club. Jane and Arthur cherished the opportunity to attend their grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents, Joseph and Clara Lang; her in-laws, Gilbert and Mae Lyness; her twin sister, three other sisters and three brothers and their spouses.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12 noon. Cremation has taken place and private family interment will take place in spring at Estabrooks Cemetery.

A special thank you to The Meadows and The Manor of Fond du Lac for all the special care and compassion they gave Jane while she was a resident there, and to SSM Hospice for the amazing care they gave Jane and support to the family, also to her sister-in-law Barb for always being there for her.
