Jane Louise (Rozek) Brown, age 94, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on March 20, 1931, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Batterman) Rozek. She was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School. On May 12, 1951, she married the love of her life, Henry M. Brown and they were happily married for 74 years. They were members of Holy Family Parish, attending first St. Louis & later Sacred Heart Church.
Throughout her life, Jane enjoyed reading, singing, coloring, gardening, and fishing at the cottage. One of her favorite pasttimes was needlework, including counted cross stitch, needlepoint & felt applique. She made each member of the family a beautiful Christmas stocking, which they all cherish. She always looked forward to spending time at the lake cottage, sitting in her favorite swing. Jane took pride in her role as a homemaker and always put her family first. She will be missed, and remembered for her warm hugs, homemade chocolate chip cookies, and fighting spirit.
Survivors include her husband, Henry; her children, Gary (Joy) Brown, Gail (Craig) Plowman, and Judith (Tim) Hanson; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Joe) Parrish, Jason (Sheila) Plowman, Adam (Jacquelyn) Plowman, Travis (Brian) Vandebrown, Shane Brown, A.J. (Abby) Hanson, and Parker (Jackie) Hanson; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lois (Victor) Jewson, Fred (Bonnie) Brown and other relatives and friends, including her best friend for 80 years, Nancy Leonhardt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marjorie (Elmer) Wilke and Gloria (Francis) Ferguson; two brothers, Gilbert (Delores) Rozek and Linus (Betty) Rozek; brothers-in-law, Reuben (Kathleen) Brown, Donald (Ruth) Brown, Orville (Janie) Brown; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Earl) Reitz.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow the service in the mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jane’s name may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
