Jayn E. Narance, 69, of Byron, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2013 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with leukemia. Jayn Ellen was born on October 15, 1944 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of the late Harry and Fern (Laning) Volbright. She was a 1962 graduate of Lomira High School. On July 6, 1963, she was united in marriage to Mark Narance at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Oakfield, WI. In 2007, Jayn retired from Mercury Marine after 35 years of service. Jayn will be remembered as a hard worker, a kind and giving friend, and a wonderful mother and wife. She enjoyed camping, boating, reading novels, lunches with her girlfriends and spoiling her grandchildren. Jayn leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, Mark, two children; Debbie (Jeff) Budahn of Theresa and Jim (Bonnie) Narance of Byron, five grandchildren; Megan (Mark) Meneau, Michelle (fiancé James) Schroeder, Ben Budahn, Olivia Narance and Samantha Narance, and one step great-grand-daughter, Anysah Meneau. She is also survived by three sisters; Mary (Jim) Kuslits, Sandy (Dennis) Couture, Ann (Dennis) Weber and one brother, Dale (Chris) Volbright. Jayn is further survived by her sister-in-laws, Janice Volbright and Patricia Volbright, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.In addition to her parents, Jayn was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Volbright and David Volbright. Jayn's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Lundberg and his staff as well as the team at Agnesian Hospice for their care and support over these past months and years.
A visitation for Jayn will be held on December 4, 2013 from 10am-12pm at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N Park Ave in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will follow at 12pm. Cremation will follow the services. A guestbook and further information can be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
