Joyce M. Athanasiou

Joyce M. Athanasiou, 89, died Monday, August 14, 2023, at her home in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on September 2, 1933, the daughter of Aloysius and Eva (Ferris) Graf. On October 10, 1953, Joyce married Steve Athanasiou in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2016.

Survivors include her three sons, Al, Thal (Nancy), and Michael (Mary); four grandchildren, Steven (Amber), Matthew, Nicolette, and Alexander; and three great-grandchildren, Carson, Macy, and Bryce. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Graf.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 198 N. Macy St., in Fond du Lac. Per Joyce’s wishes, there will not be a visitation prior to the service. Entombment in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery will follow the services.
