Judith Ann Lindsley

Judith Ann Lindsley (Judy), age 85, passed away at the Fond du Lac Hospice Home of Hope on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Judy was born in Fond du Lac to Aurel and Exilda (Schwebke) Treleven. She was a Christmas baby, born on December 25, 1940, and like most Christmas babies, felt that she was always cheated out of birthday presents!

When she was just 15 years old, she met Marvin (Marv), the absolute love of her life and soul mate. He happened to be a customer at her part time grocery store job, and she always said that the first time she saw his twinkling blue eyes, she knew that this would be the man she would marry. She absolutely adored him. And marry they did, on September 17, 1960. They went on to have 2 children, Rick and Debbie.

Judy had a great sense of humor and loved to have fun. Christmas was special to her and she thoroughly enjoyed this holiday. She made Christmas a time to remember for her family by decorating the house, making cookies and candies, and having exactly equal number of presents for her kids on Christmas morning.

Judy enjoyed planting her flowers every summer, and loved painting and doing needlepoint. She loved animals, especially dogs. But her real passion was sewing. What a gift she had for this! She sewed for everyone in the family, especially her great-niece, daughter and her grandson. The clothing and home décor that she sewed were incredibly beautiful.

When the kids were young, she enjoyed family trips to Disney World, Badlands, and annual trips up north to St. Germain, WI. After the kids were grown, she and Marv began to do some traveling. They loved their yearly visits to St. Pete Beach, Florida, and doing occasional trips to Tunica, MS and to Las Vegas, NV to enjoy their new hobby of gambling! She loved going anywhere with Marv and missed him immensely when he passed in 2020. She was a wonderful mother and a loving grandma to her 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Alexandria, and Amber. Although she will be missed terribly, she is now reunited with Marv in heaven, and we find great comfort in knowing this.

Survivors include her son, Richard Lindsley, and his daughters, Alexandria and Amber; her daughter Debbie Baier (Darrell) and their son, Matthew; her sister, Patricia Schroeder, and brother, David Treleven (Judy), and many extended cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marv, and her parents Aurel & Exilda.

In keeping with Judy's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.

Her children would like to thank family members, friends and neighbors, who brought food, checked in on Judy, and were always willing to lend a hand to help her with whatever she needed, after Marv passed. A special thanks to family friend, Gabe, who provided her with special goggles that enhanced her quality of life after her Macular Degeneration diagnosis.

Special appreciation to SSM Hospice, and also Hospice Home of Hope for the wonderful care, compassion, and comfort she was given during her last days of life.
