Goodbyes hurt the most when the story is not finished…
Justin Michael Lindberg, age 34, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, August 21, 2022. He was born September 7, 1987 in Fond du Lac as the son of Lori A. Lindberg. Justin graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 2006 and Ripon College in 2010.
Justin was wildly smart and a self-proclaimed tech nerd and IT extraordinaire. He was passionately opinionated and an insanely committed loyal friend and family member. He was a fierce opponent at Settlers of Catan, a boardgame he played almost every Tuesday and Thursday evening with family and friends. He loved music, the louder the better, fine dining, gaming, building computers, and most of all, he loved traveling, especially to Eastern European countries.
He was invested in his community providing IT services through his business, Release2, LLC, he served as President and VP of the Lakeside Evening Kiwanis and was part of the Connections Community Church family in New Holstein. He was always there for you whenever you needed him, whatever the hour, no matter the distance. These past years took him to Eastern Europe many times where he found Natalia (Nata), the love of his life, and he developed a passion for Ukraine, the Country, the culture and its people. This year he traveled twice to volunteer at a Ukrainian refugee center on the border of Romania, where he brought much needed supplies and spent several weeks transporting refugees to safety and delivering goods into Ukraine. Even in death, he provided his final act of kindness through his organ and tissue donation for those in need.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandfather, Gary Lindberg, whom he affectionately called Boppa. We are confident they are together watching over us all while discussing all of the amazing technological advancements since Gary’s passing.
He is survived and missed dearly by his grandmother, Ann Lindberg; his mother, Lori Thalmann; his brothers, Mathew and Lucas Thalmann; his aunt and uncle, Lisa and David Adams; many cousins including Brooke Adams, Brittany (Daniel) Teresi and their daughter, Evelyn, Michelle Adams, Clayton Adams and countless other special friends and relatives including Alan Ernst, Jr., Karen Meyer, and Joshua Todd and his forever faithful and best bud, Georgie, his cairn terrier.
Justin is a reminder that life is fragile and uncertain. Express love to the people in your life every day and take nothing for granted. Marvel at nature’s beauty; take time to smell the flowers, be amazed by the colors of each sunset, enjoy the sound of children’s laughter, feel the warmth of each ray of sunshine, and appreciate each raindrop you encounter. Embrace Life.
A Memorial Celebration of Justin’s Life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at one of his favorite spots, Schmitty’s Bar & Grill, N7044 Winnebago Dr, Fond du Lac. A brief service will be led by Pastor David Damkot of Connections Community Church at 6:00 pm.
Services are in the care of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Additional information and guestbook can be found at ueckerwitt.com
