Kathleen E. "Kathy” Klatt, 69, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. She was born in Milwaukee on July 18, 1956, to Donald and Eileen Klatt.
Kathy flourished in the warmth of sunshine and the comfort of a good book. She adored sunflowers and lilacs— bright blooms that mirrored her joyful spirit. The magic of Christmas lived in her heart year-round, expressed through thoughtful gestures that made even the smallest gifts feel extraordinary.
Her creativity knew no bounds. Whether wood burning, crocheting, or sewing, Kathy had a gift for turning the simplest materials into something beautiful. Her imagination, playful and childlike, built a world of wonder for her grandchildren, forging bonds filled with laughter and love.
She radiated kindness and compassion, and her infectious belly laughs could light up any room. Above all, Kathy loved her children and grandchildren with every ounce of her being—her heart was theirs, completely and unconditionally.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Eileen; three children, Amy (Adam) Ortega, JD (Keisha) Krezman, and Nick (Kaila) Krezman; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Abbi, Alex, Gunnar, Apprylia, Mya, Bowe, and Parker, with a ninth grandchild arriving February of next year; a great granddaughter, Ameera; and her three siblings, Mark (Kathy), Mike (Judy), and Kelly (William). She was preceded in death by her father.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held September 6th, from 11am-3pm at Mauthe Lake in Campbellsport.
