Kenneth C. Nitsche

Kenneth C. Nitsche, 74, of 270 Breister Avenue, died Friday, July 16, 2004, at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born January 4, 1930, in Sheboygan, a son of Walter and Anna Damrow Nitsche. On November 22, 1958, he married Doris Schukow at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Wilson, Sheboygan County. He was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Nitsche was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and the Men's Club. Ken was formerly employed by the Kohler Company during the 1950's. He later operated Gene's Camera Shop from 1960 to 1987. In 1987, he owned and operated Four Seasons Camera with his wife, Doris, until his retirement in 2000. Mr. Nitsche was a member and past President of the Noon Kiwanis Club, a past member of the Fond du Lac Jaycee Club, was a former member and past President of the Downtown Council, and a member and past President of the National Management Association, Fond du Lac Chapter. During the 1950's and 60's, he played bass with the Blue Notes band in Sheboygan.Surviving is his wife, Doris, three brothers-in-law; Leland (Alice) Schukow of Oshkosh, Robert (Elaine) Schukow of Sheboygan, and Richard (Janice) Schukow of Elkhart Lake, five sisters-in-law; Nancy (DuWayne) Froh of Kohler, Shirley (Joel) Entringer of Random Lake, Jean Mueller of Cedar Grove, WI, Laura (Dennis) O'Keefe of Sheboygan, and Joyce (Lee) Hacker of Sheboygan. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. His parents, and three brothers, Robert, Leroy, and Harold Nitsche, two brothers-in-law, Richard Nack and Elmer Mueller, and a sister-in-law, Elgene Nitsche preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Kenneth Nitsche will be on Tuesday, July 20, 2004, from 9 to 11:30 am at Hope Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday at the church. The Rev. James Gomez will officiate and private family committal services will be held at Sheboygan Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Mr. Nitsche's name.
