Larry K. Conrad

August 31, 1941 — May 14, 2026

Larry K. Conrad, age 84, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Larry was born August 31, 1941, in Carmi, Illinois, to Ed and Emma (Deppenmeier) Conrad. From a young age, Larry displayed a strong-willed and steadfast personality, coupled with a playful spirit. He and his siblings often kept his sweet mother, Emma, on her toes with mischievous antics and adventurous schemes. This combination of determination and humor carried through his life, shaping him into a man who approached every task and challenge with focus, skill, determination, and a quiet confidence.

Larry was a skilled craftsman and talented builder, taking immense pride in constructing homes and numerous projects as a self-employed builder for over 25 years. No challenge was too great or too small for Larry when it came to building, repairing, or assembling a project, and his work will be remembered for its precision and attention to detail.

Larry (playfully nick-named Frank by close friends and family) was also an accomplished marksman with a lifelong passion for trap shooting, remaining active in Spring, Summer and Fall weekly leagues, often receiving near-perfect scores. Alongside his craftsmanship and marksman talents, he was a gifted cook, especially of southern cuisine, a talent lovingly passed down from his Grandmother, Mother and Aunts. Family and friends enjoyed his meals and appreciated when he would make ‘care packages’ for those that held a special place in his heart. He will be remembered as a loyal and steadfast presence in the lives of those who knew them.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, former wife, Kathleen Conrad, and one brother, Bill Conrad. He is survived by his daughter, Allison Conrad of Fond du Lac; his brother, Mike (Linda) Conrad; his sister, Norma (Daniel) Betz, sister-in-law, Sue Conrad, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, whom he cherished greatly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Larry to the SSM Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, WI. The family expresses their deepest gratitude for the compassionate care and unwavering support of the Hospice Home staff.

Services are in the care of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Additional information and guestbook can be found at ueckerwitt.com
