Laurette Guy

Laurette Guy, 93, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, May 21, 2026 at The Manor at the Meadows. She was born November 24, 1932 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Averill and Lauretta (Urban) Keys. Laurette graduated in 1950 from Goodrich High School and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Marian College. She taught at Rosenow Elementary School until her retirement in 1990. Over the years she enjoyed mentoring many student teachers in her classroom.

Laurette married R. Thompson Guy on February 14, 1953 at Covenant United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2014. She was a member of Oakfield Community Church. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and cross stitch. Laurette was the definition of a Christian Woman, always giving, sharing, and taking care of others.

She is survived by two sons, Greg (Deborah) Guy and Tom (Cheri) Guy; five grandchildren, Jeremiah (Kristi) Guy, Timothy (Moltu) Guy, Rebekah (Chris) Collins, Christopher (Emily) Guy, and Nick Guy; great grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Sophia, Solomon, Jonah, Miles, and Rosalie to be born in August; two sisters, Carol Fleischman and Helen Kieckbusch; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, David Guy; and sister, Betty Carey Glissendorf.

The visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Oakfield Community Church, 220 S Main Street in Oakfield. The memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM on Friday at church. Cremation has taken place.
