Lev R. Werdin

Jul 28, 2022 — Jul 7, 2026

Fond du Lac

After a life that was a testament to God’s grace and countless miracles, Lev Werdin, age 3, went home to heaven on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at St. Agnes Hospital, where he was joyfully welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Wauwatosa on July 28, 2022, to Justin and Erika (Wathan) Werdin.

Though Lev’s time on earth was brief, his life touched more hearts than many do in a lifetime. Despite facing countless medical challenges, he met each day with a contagious smile that brought joy to everyone around him. His gentle spirit, unwavering happiness, and peaceful contentment were an inspiration to all who knew him. Through his life, Lev drew others closer to Christ, reminding everyone that faith, hope, and love can shine brightly even through life’s greatest challenges.

Lev was the center of his family’s world. He taught those who loved him to embrace every day as a precious gift, to live life to the fullest, to truly cherish time together, and never to take life’s blessings for granted. His impact cannot be measured by the number of years he lived, but by the countless lives he touched and the enduring faith he inspired.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Justin and Erika Werdin; his beloved siblings, Honor, Wells, and Dempsey Werdin; his paternal grandparents, Christopher and Lori Werdin; his maternal grandparents, James Wathan Jr. and Jennifer Wathan; his uncles, Nate Werdin and Eric Nett; his aunts, Abby Wathan and Emily Wathan; his paternal great-grandparents, Gerald and Mary Jean Aspatore, and Patricia Werdin; his maternal great-grandparents, Kenneth and Eloise Baierl; as well as many other relatives, friends, caregivers, and all who were blessed to know and love him.

Lev was preceded in death by his great-aunt, Heather Jones (Baierl); his great-grandfather, Richard Werdin; and his great-aunt, Susan Helminski (Aspatore).

While our hearts grieve the loss of this precious little boy, we find comfort in the promise that Lev has been made whole in heaven. His beautiful smile, joyful heart, and steadfast example of faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. Though his earthly journey was short, the love he shared and the lessons he taught will continue to bless his family and all who knew him for generations to come.
