Lillian Amanda Schneider, age 95, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Hospice Home of Hope.
Lillian was born on September 1, 1929, in St. Joe, WI. Lillian married Harold (Bud) B. Schneider on June 1, 1949, at St. Joe’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, WI. Harold preceded Lillian in death on December 30, 1993. Lillian resided in the St. Peter and Peebles area with her husband for many years and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. In her parish life, she was a member of the Christian Mothers and helped with school events while her children attended the previous St. Peter’s Catholic School. She also assisted leaders of Ledger’s 4-H Club during the years. Lillian worked with her husband in their family's electrical business. She and Harold enjoyed traveling, and with their many friends participated in the bowling leagues at St. Peter Lanes. She volunteered at the Lutheran Home for a number of years. Lillian was an avid Brewers fan, and enjoyed, and previously traveled with the Golden Years Club.
Lillian is survived by three children, Gerrie (Paul) Andrew, Eldorado, Tom (Jean) Schneider, Waupun, Mary ‘Teenie’ (Larry) Schaefer, St. Cloud, and son-in-law, Jerry Schneider, St. Peter; eight grandchildren, Benjamin Andrew (Kim Nguyen), Trinity, NC, Tim (Sara) Andrew, Sun Prairie, Jon (Colleen Milligan) Andrew, Butte Valley, CA; Rich (Jennifer) Schneider, Sheboygan, Ron (Pam) Schneider, Fond du Lac, Joe (Jessica) Schneider, DeForest, Kirby (Kelly) Schaefer, Green Bay, and Jenny (Kalvin) Olig, Windsor; eighteen great- grandchildren: Caleb (Nalicia) Andrew, Ella Andrew, Joseph, Madeleine and Gabriella Andrew, Colin Milligan-Andrew; Abigail Schneider, Emily and Brandon Gumm; Nicholas and Erin Schneider; Ali, Lainee and Kailee Schneider; Logan and Reid Schaefer, Callen and Olivia Olig; and two great-great-grandchildren, Evelyn Haase and Tobias Andrew. Lillian is further survived by her siblings, Sylvester (Pat) Petrie, St. Cloud, Mary Petrie, Rochester, MN; sister-in-law, Ceil Petrie, Glenbeulah;, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Harold Schneider; daughter, Joan Schneider; grandson, Scott Schaefer; her parents, Roman and Margaret (Casper) Petrie; parents-in-law, Clem and Rose (Sabel) Schneider; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cleopha and Melvin Gau, Beatrice and Will Kind, Francis Petrie, Jerome and Frances Petrie and Marjorie Petrie, Norma and Melvin Stenz; Marvin and Patricia Schneider and Evelyn Thome, Lyle Thome and Barb Thome.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, at St. Peter Church, N8079 Church Road, St. Peter, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to SSM Hospice.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Francis Terrace and SSM Hospice for their kindness and care to Lillian through the years, along with previous caregivers at The Woodlands; her physicians, Dr. Lisa Weber, Dr. Kumar and Dr. Irinia Ionova.
