The Lord called Linda May Pierce, 83, to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 28, 2026, where she was reunited with her beloved husband, Huey, and her son, Kevin.
She was born in Fond du Lac on November 26, 1942, to Michael and Bertha (Moss) Ketten. Linda grew up in the Village of Taycheedah and graduated from Goodrich High School with the Class of 1960. On July 28, 1961, she married the love of her life, Huey Pierce, at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Fond du Lac. Together they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage, raised four children, enjoyed camping, and the time spent watching deer. Huey preceded her in death on August 3, 2001.
Linda worked as a beautician at Hills Beauty Salon before serving as an Activities Aide at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. A lifelong member of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She enjoyed traveling, visiting family, researching genealogy, and working in the “mouse factory.” Above all, Linda cherished her family and was grateful for the many blessings God had given her.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Keith (Tina) Pierce of Murfreesboro, TN, Barb (Scott) Smet, and Brenda (Tim) Johannes, both of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Melissa Smet, Cody Smet (Makayla Burleton), Brandon (Andrea) Pierce, Schyler Pierce, and Maysen Pierce; six great-grandchildren; her sisters, Helen (Ken) Huelsman of Fond du Lac and Rose Sabel of Dotyville; sisters-in-law, Susan Ketten of North Fond du Lac, Bonnie (Fred) Bordelon of Denham Springs, LA, and Diane Pierce of Lake Charles, LA; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, husband, and a son, Kevin, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas Ketten; sisters, Nancy Fisher and Alice Huebschman; her nephew, Michael Huebschman; and her brother-in-law, John Sabel.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, 51 West Division Street in Fond du Lac with visitation at the church from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM. Linda will be laid to rest privately at Rienzi Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Cathedral Church of St. Paul.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of SSM Health at Home Hospice for their compassionate and loving care. They also wish to thank Linda’s dear friends and neighbors, Kathy and Gill, for their kindness, friendship, and the many ways they looked out for her over the years.
“I have been so blessed to have such a wonderful family; thank you, Lord. You know I’ll always be with you and will always love you. Stay close to the Lord, for He will bless you in return.”
