Lloyd G. "Zip" Kennedy

Lloyd G. "Zip" Kennedy, 82, of 29 N. Boardman Street, died Thursday, August 19, 2004, at his residence. He was born March 12, 1922, in Escanaba, MI, a son of George W. and Ethel L. Peterson Kennedy. On May 10, 1947, he married Lorraine D. Allen. He was a member of the Church of Peace-United Church of Christ. Mr. Kennedy was formerly employed by the Soo Line Railroad as a welder and foreman, retiring in 1982. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the European Theater. Lloyd was a member of Eagles Aerie #270. Surviving is his wife, Lorraine, a son, Michael (Judy) Kennedy of Hudson, WI, two grandchildren, Michelle Kennedy of Hudson, WI, and Kimberly (Brendan) Moran of Roberts, WI, and a great-granddaughter, Cierra Kennedy, of Roberts, WI. Further surviving are two brothers, Earl Kennedy of Phoenix, AZ, and Maxwell (Trudy) Kennedy of Fond du Lac, and three sisters, Gloria (Fred) McBride of Palm Desert, CA, Sally (Ralph) Spoerke of Fond du Lac, and Patricia (Bill) Bacon of Oxford, WI. His parents, and two brothers, Glen and Ronald preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Lloyd G. "Zip" Kennedy will be on Saturday, August 21, 2004, from 10 to 2 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 21, 2004, at 2 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Gerald Bertsch will officiate and private family burial services will take place on Monday at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
