Lucille A. Rapp

Lucille A. Rapp, 88, died peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on May 19, 1926, a daughter of Peter and Olive (Breit) Weyer. Lucille was a 1940 graduate of St. Mary’s grade school and a 1944 graduate of St. Mary’s Springs Academy. On September 8, 1956, she married Arthur Rapp at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2001.



Prior to her marriage, Lucille worked for the Fond du Lac Association of Commerce for 2 years and then as a secretary at Rueping Leather for 10 years. She delivered mobile meals for St. Agnes Hospital, was a member of Presentation Catholic Church since 1956 and for years was a member of the Presentation Christian Women’s Association. Lucille enjoyed traveling, walking, gardening and time spent with family and friends.



Lucille is survived by her three children, Michael (Brenda) of Fond du Lac, Steven of Monroe, LA, Carol (Rick) Mielke of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Brett (Amy) Mielke, Daniel Mielke, Kristen, Kevin, Anne and Laura Rapp; a sister, Patricia Etheridge, nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister Rosemary Weyer; brothers-in-law Robert Etheridge, Harold Rapp, Milton Rapp and a sister-in-law, Josephine Siebauer.



Visitation for Lucille will be held from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday May, 19, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac and again from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the St. Francis Home chapel, 33 Everett St. in Fond du Lac. Service will follow the visitation at 10:00 AM with Fr. Adrian Staehler presiding. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
