Lynn Ann Farr

May 6, 1956 — October 18, 2016

At 9:51am on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, surrounded by those who loved her Lynn Ann Farr, 60, was given a “Well done thy good and faithful servant” as she was taken into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her Heavenly home-going came exactly 21 months from when she began what would ultimately become a victorious battle over Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Lynn was born May 6, 1956 in Fond du Lac the daughter of Ronald Gene and Mary Jean Farr.

Lynn was a 1974 graduate of St. Mary Springs Academy in Fond du Lac. She blessed many lives and families through ministry after receiving an associate’s degree in theology. Lynn also served many as a mortgage loan officer who referred to herself as “Your Lender for Life”. All of us who were fortunate enough to really know Lynn we always knew how much Lynn loved us. She selflessly gave her time and resources to various projects and causes, but she was also constantly providing well-timed, Godly words of encouragement to everyone both friend and stranger. One of her greatest joys was to refer to herself as your “Only oldest sister!” to her siblings.

Lynn is survived and loved by her dear friend Tammy Rae Kilsdonk and her daughter Andie Maria; her mother Mary Jean Farr, Fond du Lac; her six siblings Randall (Nita Jo) Farr, Roanoke, VA; Katherine (special friend Tom) Farr, Fond du Lac; Mary Sue Will, Fond du Lac; Charlene (Steve) Rose, Menasha; Rhonda (Jim) Freis, Kiel and James (Mary) Farr from Altoona, WI. Lynn is further survived by her cherished nieces and nephews who include Jeremy and Bradley Farr; Wendy Farr, Brian Vande Kolk and Joshua Farr; Melissa Will and Kristin Mosser; Bill Abitz, Steven Abitz and Ashley Sharkey; Jerid Winkler, Katie Vande Brink and Daniel Winkler; Shawna Ohms, Kayla Farr and Stephanie Farr. Lynn was preceded in death by her brother William Joseph, her father and paternal and maternal grandparents.

The family will receive friends and visitors on Sunday October 23 from 11am to 1pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home in Fond du Lac. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm. Reverend John A. Lynn will provide a message of hope. A celebration of Lynn’s life will take place at 1:30 at the Eagles Club in Fond du Lac. Cremation has already taken place.

The family would like to thank her medical teams from St. Luke’s Hospital, Fox Valley Hematology, and Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin, especially Dr. Laura Michaelis, MD and Physician Assistant Amber Essenmacher who took wonderful and compassionate care of her. Recently they shared with Lynn that her indomitable spirit and meticulous record-keeping allowed them to learn so much and that they have and will continue to change the way they treat AML patients. This is all because of the incredible fighting spirit of one Lynn Ann Farr.

Lynn’s dear wish was that everyone would take God up on his written guarantee that you can and will spend eternity in heaven with Him through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is found in Ephesians 2:8-9 where God proclaims, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.” Lynn accepted this free gift. Have you?
