Margaret F. Schroeder

Margaret F. Schroeder (nee Wagner), 107, was born to eternal life, Monday, November 10, 2025 at St. Francis Home. She was the daughter of Valentine and Margaret (Julka) Wagner, born October 15, 1918 on a farm in Stockbridge, WI. In 1939 she married John F. Schroeder and he preceded her in death in 1985.

Margaret was a past member of Schred Heart’s Christian Women and Villa Loretto Auxiliary. Her hobbies were drawing, writing poetry, and stories.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Catherine Bennett; three grandsons, Jason (Aven) Bennett, Matthew (Mariana Jaime) Bennett, and John (Becky Pokey) Bennett; twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Clarence Gilgenbach; her husband, John; son-in-law, Mike Bennett; three brothers, Emmett (Irene) Wagner, Ambrose Wagner, and Clarence (Joyce) Gilgenbach, Jr; four sisters, infant Eleanor, Florence (William) Devine, Loretta (Earl) Schmitz, and Irene (Roy) Meunier.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at St. Francis Home Chapel. The memorial mass will follow on Saturday at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield next to her husband at a later date.
