Mary Barounis

Mary Barounis, 82, formerly of Fond du Lac, and currently a resident of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, entered Eternal life on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at Port Huron Hospital, Port Huron, MI. She was born June 8, 1922, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of James and Kalliope Koy Pazalos. On August 24, 1952, she married Dimos Barounis at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1991. Mrs. Barounis was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church until moving to Brookfield and later to Sarnia after her husband's death. Royal Brass of Fond du Lac and the former Barton Manufacturing of Campbellsport formerly employed her. Surviving are two daughters, Dorothaya (Theodore) Sarandos of Brookfield, WI, and Kathy (Jim) Paschalinos of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. She is further survived by five grandchildren; Maria, Chris, and Diana Sarandos, and Kayla and Niko Paschalinos. Also surviving are two sisters, Alexandra Choukalas of Evergreen Park, IL, and Jessie Georganas of Wauwatosa, WI, and a brother, Lew (Katherine) Pazalos of Palos Hills, IL, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her parents, husband, a brother, and two sisters preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Mary Barounis will be on Friday, June 18, 2004, from 10 to 11 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 18, 2004, at 11 am at the church.
