Mary J. Strnad

Mary J. Strnad, age 89, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on December 19, 1935, in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Otto H. and Mary A. (Davis) Meichus. On August 25, 1956, she married Denis J. Strnad in Reedsburg. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2024. Mary was a teacher in Reedsburg where she taught in a one room schoolhouse. She loved flowers and traveling. She was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Survivors include her children, Denis (Gloria) Strnad, Scott Strnad, Sandy (John) Schneider, and Shelly (Neal) Theisen; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-siblings, Jimmy Schyvinck and Susan (Bob) Flemming; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter-in-law, Kristine; one grandchild, Jennifer.

Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date in a cemetery near where Mary grew up.

We are comforted knowing that Mom and Dad are reunited and dancing in Heaven!
