Mildred A. Rowe, 88, of 164 East Third Street, Fond du Lac, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at All About Life Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 28, 1921 in the Town of Empire, the daughter of Albert C. and Mildred J. Braford Sabel. On October 25, 1941 she married Chester Rowe in Dubuque, IA and he preceded her in death in 1967. Mildred worked for Tolibia Cheese for over 40 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. In her younger years, Mildred enjoyed bowling and traveling throughout the United States. In recent years she enjoyed reading, playing cards, making rugs and loved spending time with her family. SURVIVORS: one sister, Caroline (Robert) Schmitz, Dotyville; one step daughter-in-law, Beverly Rowe, Oshkosh; nephew, Tom (Kathy) Lefeber, Keil; nieces, Mary Lou (Robert) Blattner, Fond du Lac and Marie Schmitz, Fond du Lac; other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester; step-son, Don Rowe; two sisters, Agnes Freund and Adeline (Leo) Lefeber; two brothers, Gilson Sabel and Albert Sabel.



VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 7 PM on Monday, January 11, 2010 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again from 9 "“ 10 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. The Liturgy of the Word Service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com.
