Peter D. Atkinson

Peter D. Atkinson, 73, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born September 16, 1949 in Fond du Lac, the son of Donald and Genevieve (Schroeder) Atkinson. Peter worked for Sadoff Iron and Metal for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Moose Lodge, and Lost Arrow Archery. Peter was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, riding his John Deere, fixing bicycles, and was a jack of all trades.

He is survived by his siblings, Patricia (Victor) Langolf, Eugene (Karen) Atkinson, Keith (Judith) Atkinson, and Paul Atkinson, Sr.; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Robert Langolf and Joseph Atkinson.

The visitation will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday at the church. Entombment will follow in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
