Peter H. Konen

Peter Harvey Konen, 68, died Sunday, December 11, 2022 following a stalwart battle with cancer. Peter was born September 9, 1954 to Eugene R. Konen and Marie (Freund) Konen in Fond du Lac, WI. He graduated from Goodrich High School before beginning a career with International Paper where he began on the factory floor and worked his way into the sales department.

Peter married Mary Flanders in 1978. They had three children, Elizabeth Konen (Carcheri Gingrasso) of Pennsylvania, Alexander Konen of Wisconsin, and Jonathan (Kristin) Konen of Texas.

He is survived by his fiancée, Mardi Clark; his children; grandchildren, Sebastian, Eleanor, Everett, Henry, Domenic, and Hannah. He is further survived by his sisters, Mary (Larry) Potratz and Theresa (Michael) Anhalt; his brothers, Roger (Anita) Konen, Harold (Carla) Konen, and Al (Renee Sheely) Konen; his former wife, Mary Runde; special friends, Iva and Anani Anglov and family; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other relatives; along with numerous friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; brother, Alvin; aunts and uncles and other relatives.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, spending time with & supporting his children and grandchildren, and spending time with friends and family.

The family appreciates memorials directed to Central Wisconsin Cancer Center in Fond du Lac in Peter’s name.

A celebration of life will be held for his friends and family on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12:00 – 4:00 PM at Schmitty’s Bar and Grill, N7044 Winnebago Drive in Fond du Lac.
